What:
Onsite "Train the Trainer" program
Shell’s Libyan Branch located in Tripoli and with exploration activities reaching deep into the remoteness of the Sahara desert, requested for our services in the beginning of 2009.

Our assignment:
Train Shell staff (mainly Shell drivers) in delivering a modern light vehicle Defensive Driving Course (course design suitable for Tripoli city driving). In total 12 delegates participated to the course.

Execution in Steps:
• Step 1: Execution of a local road risk assessment and design of a fit for purpose curriculum for the course.
• Step 2: Presentation of the course content to internal stakeholders.
• Step 3: Training of the first group of six (6) delegates, including the examination and certification.

Framework of the training:
• Day 1: Theory & Track exercises
• Day 2: Theory & Public Road Driving
• Day 3: Training sessions executed by the delegates
• Day 4: Examination both in practice as well as theory

Output: At the end of the project we left SEPLG with the tools to conduct their own Defensive Driving courses, being:
• Trainers manual;
• Full curriculum for a two day DDT course & a one day refresher course;
• PowerPoint slide pack for light vehicle Defensive Driving Course;
• Hand-outs;
• Theory tests;
• Certificates.
